Not all mixtapes are created equal and these days, for one to be considered a success, the artist has to be able to keep the audience just as captive with random tracks as they would like to hopefully do with a full length album. It’s that special time of year again. You know the one. When people from all over the world head to the U.K. for the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world commonly known as Glastonbury.
Summer is quickly making it’s presence known, in not only the temperature and clothing (or lack thereof) you see around you but as well as the types of music that begins to permeate the air. It’s one of my favorite times because I’m going to be be at any number of BBQ’s this solstice, some of which I’m always asked to play something to get everyone in that “Good Ol’ Cookout Spirit” and I always make sure to load my SD Card up with a couple long play mixes to set it off.
