Summer is quickly making it’s presence known, in not only rising temperature and changes in clothing (or lack thereof) you see around you but also in the types of music that begin to permeate the air.
It’s one of my favorite times because I’m going to be be at any number of BBQ’s this solstice cause not only am I a foodie but also to play some music to get everyone in that “Good Ol’ Cookout Spirit”, so I always make sure to load my SD Card up with a couple long play mixes to set it off.
One of which is ALWAYS this one here.
Pay little attention to the title, as this mix also lends itself easily to a cookout or any function for that matter. Clocking in at a little over 2 hours, this incredi-mix that I obtained from a mutual friend of the talented guy who put it together, is always in good form and will keep people grooving while the GrillMaster puts the right amount of burn on those hot dogs and that special blend of sauce on those steaks.
Featuring tracks ranging from Musiq Soulchild to Funkadelic to Salt N Pepa , there is a little something for everyone on here but the coup de grâce, has to be the Ol’ School Party section. I have yet to see this part get played and Ol’ Uncle or Aunt Bunny NOT get up and try to show the youngsters standing around how THEY used to do it back before the trick knee, hip bursitis and sciatica put them on the sidelines.
