So, I’m a huge fan of the Brownswood releases as a whole and make a point to support. I purchased Brownswood elect*ic2 without listening in advance and regrettably, I was excruciatingly let down. Without saying anymore, I really enjoyed the musical journey of Jus Wan’s Miles Away. Peep it and check out the Brownswood elect*ic2 HERE
My people at Soulab turned me on to this re-release of Eye See by New Zealander and 1/2 of Karlmarx, Isaac Aesili. If you got the original, that came out last year, this one features two new remixes of With You in My Bed and of course Isaac’s experimental soul and sometimes over the top, pop R&B. My favorite tune though is the subdued funk of Can I B. Check it out and let us know what you think

Much like the rest of the internet, I’ve been feenin’ for this cut for the last month or so like it’s got #tigersblood in it. Now mask wearing UK producer SBTRKT unleashes the visuals to accompany the goodness that this track already embodies.
I really enjoy good production from accomplished track creators. I also really enjoy good lyricism from proven Emcees. So when the two meet, you can

Shouts out to Mellow Orange for turning us on to Teeko’s upcoming album, Light Up the Darkness to be released July 1st. He’s setting out to “define the realm of futuristic funk” and is bringing along some really high powered friends: Coultrain, Dibiase and the legendary Dwight Trible to help him bring a breath of fresh air to music. Can’t wait for this one
