So what do you get when you mix a horrible mixtape cover and some MCs from Las Vegas? Apparently, some really dope Hip Hop. Shouts out to Akili for sending this through and turning us on to some really dope tunes. Please put your friends on to it as well. They will thank you, trust us! Get it HERE
Whoa, who is Tony Lionni? He’s a DJ/producer with a 4 track EP that’s completely bananas! The title track, Lost Souls is described as “a laid back opener with a fantastic Rhodes-driven groove and Tom Middleton-esque synth swirls and sweeps.” I just call it dope and the other 3 tracks are nothing to sleep on. The last time we heard from Rhian Benson was 2005 on her Gold Coast album when she was trying to say how she feels. Six years later, she’s returned and is asking to take it back on Rewinda cool little salsa number that feels particularly good, especially with this beautiful wether we’ve been having lately. Enjoy!
