Madlib & Frank Nitt – What Can U Tell Me feat. MED (Download)

Madlib Medicine Show #9: Channel 85 presents Nittyville is a full-length hip-hop album featuring Detroit’s Frank Nitt. Nittyville is the most traditional of the Madlib Medicine Show series: one MC, one producer, and a rap record all about stunts, blunts and hip-hop.

Enjoy!

Ebo Taylor – Peace On Earth

Ebo acknowledges the influence of US jazz rockers Blood Sweat & Tears and – less obviously, perhaps – Deep Purple on this easy going mid-tempo piece, written a few years before it was recorded, when Osibisa and various ‘blaxploitation’ themes were hip. “I was trying to fuse rock and jazz together with highlife,” Ebo recalls. “This kind of music was ahead of its time – not very popular when we recorded it

Deep88 – Italo82 feat The Huge (DJ Edit)

Italian DJ and producer Deep88’s Italo82, with its elements of disco and early house, is three minutes or retro modern goodness. The track gets its name, Italo82, in honour of the vintage synthesizers, samplers and drum machines which were used to give the track the groovy sound that both Deep88 and The Huge love.
