As one half of Eulorhythmics and Innosphere, Kenny Keys has dropped two new albums this year, Green Street & Avers and Shine respectively. If you havent picked up either, then your ears are severly lacking some goodies. With It’s Working (Work Series Vol.2) Kenny’s soulful beats take center stage with 10 tracks of heat.
SoulShaker hits n.7 with another trip around the world searching for the coolest in (deep) funk, (northern) soul, (jazzy) afrobeat and more. Once again on the new SoulShaker all the bands being featured are from the contemporary scene, with lots of exclusive contributions and previously unreleased stuff on cd compilation.
They’d have you believe via their website that only a couple of these beats are cool. Is it modesty? I dont know, but there are more than a few tracks that are “cool” and some that I just truly enjoy. Slack
