Tony Ozier – Ode to D’Angelo (The Root)

In the last two years, the original  Neo Soul pioneers have all released new albums: Bilal, Musiq, Jill, Badu and Maxwell. The only cat who helped define the genre who hasn’t dropped anything new is one of the crew who showed the most promise of being avant garde, D’angelo. Here’s Tony Ozier’s funky doowop ode to Mr. Archer, a flip of one of the many great track from D’angelo’s last album Voodoo. Enjoy!
