I was reading the Smokey Robinson interview in the latest issue of Waxpoetics where he talked about his vocals on Cruisin and how they were just “scratch vocals”, and he never recorded a “proper” version. It reminded me that I had a copy of D’angelo’s Cruisin promo vinyl with multiple versions of the track. Here’s one version I dont see around much. Enjoy
