Music. There just isn’t much better than it. Except FREE music…and the only thing better than FREE music is GOOD FREE music.
Especially when it comes from talented folks like the +FE crew, with Zo! in particular as I type this.
If you’ve been stalking watching his FookBace page the way I have, then you’re probably already aware that the third installment of his coveted Just Visiting series hit the inter-webs a little over an hour ago.
If you’re not in the know or have no clue who The Foreign Exchange are, who Zo! is (or why he has the exclamation mark after his name) and why in the last four years their brand has become essential to the independent music scene, I’d like to be the first to welcome you back to the world on the other side of the rock you’ve been residing under these last few years.
Zo! – Driving feat. Sy Smith
A Multi-Instrumentalist/Producer and since 2006 a high school Music Teacher, Zo! has been crafting his brand of #jazzysoulful instrumentation for the past decade mostly collaborating with label-mates Foreign Exchange (Phonte and Nicolay) unless he’s releasing his solo efforts as he did last year with his well reviewed SunStorm LP.
I’m still wrapping my ears around JV3 but it’s already promising if this tracklisting gives any indication.
Given Zo!’s track record thus far, I’m sure if and when he Just Visits us for a fourth time in the near future, it will be well worth the wait as well.
