Ironically, legendary soul man and organ player Booker T Jones’ first album in decades, The Road From Memphis is released as Memphis is under watch due to massive flooding. To say that the album is less than stellar is an understatement, and who wants to hear the man behind everlastingly funky treats like Green Onions play Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy or Lauryn’s Everything is Everything?
