Szjerdene – Leila’s Tale [Download + Bonus]

Ever since her “Think It Through release, beautifully utilizing  Savath & Savalas’ “Folk Song For Cello” as the anchoring track, hit my inbox months ago, I’ve been a Szjerdene stanner.

It also didn’t help my condition when her Plug Research debut arrived not long after, as the Robin Hannibal (Quadron) produced “Lead The Way” track quickly went to the top slot of my summer rotations list. After that, all went relatively quiet from the 22 yr old North Londoner, until her Bookface page showed signs of movement in anticipation of the release of “Leila’s Tale“.

Not sure what magic bag Szjerdene (pronounced JhurDEEN) dug in to uncover this gem of a track from Dimlite but her vocal display is just as stunning as the instrumental itself. It almost makes one wonder if the song was written to the music or the other way around. Either way, it works.

Grab the freebie at her Bandcamp page, then catch her at these eSpots
