This over 5 year old mix popped into my mind after a decision to display our love for original samples every Saturday and a fortunate series of coincidences. Last week we received an email from Cee Knowledge’s DJ about a tribute mix he did (download), next while record shopping Wednesday I found a great copy of Lonnie liston Smith’s Visions of a New World which includes Devika, used for one of my favorite DPs tunes, and finally while cleaning my music room I found Blowout Breaks. Anyone who knows me knows that Digable Planets is one of my favorite crews and the labor of love Jedi has created is evidenced by the love he receives from Fader magazine:
