I’d like to begin by saying Mello Music Group has it locked down right now and with the acquisition of Pete Rock and the soon to come release of Petestrumentals 2, they’re like Rawkus 2.0. Big Pooh has been nothing if not consistent over the years and his latest effort will delight his fans, I’m sure. The standout for me will have to be his collaboration with Detroit MC Marv Won. Candlelight is not only the lyrical onslaught you’d imagine from these two powerhouses, it’s an inspirational joint you can bang in the whip, because that’s the most important part of giving praise, right? Waajeed would agree. I digress, however, It’s also in the running for my favorite Teddy P sample usage, but Camay is just too ill. Only negative is, even at 3 minutes, it seems to end too soon
