I don’t know what’s more comforting, the fact that Omar is actually releasing a new album, The Man after half a decade, or that after 21 years in the game Omar’s voice and overall sound remain as familiar and comfortable as a favorite pair of jeans. Peep this ingenious video of Omar recording vocals “live in the streets of Copenhagen, and afterwards the instrumental was added. That means all the vocals are raw one-takes, with all the surrounding city sounds.” Dope, just like the man himself!
