Large Professor has been buzzing in my cipher for the last month. He did an all 45 DJ set to celebrate Bumrush45‘s 1 year anniversary, followed by the horrible Drink Champs interview and the informative interview with Talib Kweli. Next, he DJed in Memphis this past Fri and I’m still upset I was unable to attend. I enjoy watching Large Professor’s IG loop sessions and definitely want to catch a DJ set in person.
Lastly, today I found a Tom Caruana remix project I was completely unaware of for the last 12 years. My favorite moment from this project is TC chopping up El Michel’s Affair’s Detroit Twice for his remix of Hot Sizzling, Scorching, Blazing. I’ve always been a sucker for HipHop over afro-inspired production and Pauly leaves flames all over this one. Grab the full project HERE
