I’ve been a fan of Jeru the Damaja since ’94! Come Clean and The Sun Rises in the East got serious burn in my Accord, and helped to solidify my love for East Coast Hip Hop. Two years later, the completely DJ Premier produced The Wrath of the Math album dropped and Jeru’s pen was still inking gems like Ya Playin’ Yaself and Me or The Papes. My affection for this album was multiplied by the super dope, martial arts themed video for Ya Playin’ Yaself.
27 years later Wipe the Needle resurrect this treat with a bouncy groove you can own on 7inch wax.
