So, a few days back when DJ Getlive unleashed a recording of his set from the 6th annual “Donuts Are Forever” at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl this past February, I quickly swooped in with my slightly tilted to the left white arrow to get my copy.
Unlike a great many of the tributes that normally root themselves in more mainstream and easily recognizable DILLA tunes, Getlive takes his into somewhat lesser known but equally, if not more so, poignant creations and their auditory sources from your favorite producer’s, favorite producer.
