Pete Rock has his hands in many big projects this year: Monumental w/Smif n Wessun, Pete Rock vs DJ Premier and his collaboration with Camp Lo, 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s. Honestly, my expectations for this are rather low; I love the artists, but just see the immense probability for a release of mediocre proportions. Luckily, we have this mixtape from Trackstar The DJ and DJ Mark Divita which flips Lo verses over Pete beats to varying agrees of effectiveness to attempt to create excitement. I am…mildly.
