When I came across this track from breakbot late last year, I immediately dug it’s vibe, squirreling it away to the hardrive to post up later but like many a track in my digital possession, it soon became buried under other freely gained audios.
Luckily the French Producer / DJ made such an impression on me that when my ears caught on to this track being used as ambiance for a scene in the first episode of this season’s “How To Make It In America“, I had to go back and pull it out of the archives for all to enjoy.

I’d almost forgotten how IRFANE‘s vocals are extraordinarily well-suited for that butter piano riff that melts right into the understated drum pattern, yet remains funky enough to keep the metatarsals tapping. I’d even go as far as to say that this track could have easily been swapped out for Jamiroquai’s Canned Heat in Napoleon Dynamite.
