Anthony Hamilton – Do It All For You (Unreleased)

Last year, we dropped a 20+ set of Ant Ham’s unreleased tracks that we found just lying around in a few dusty corners of the inter-webs.

Due to a few unforeseen haters Internet related hiccups, it soon became unavailable but not before a good number of people got they download on. Fast forward to the past Labor Day and during my web (s)trolling, I bumble across four more songs from that time period that we seemed to have missed adding, titled “Innocence“, “Gangsta“, “Oh Lord” and “Do It All For You“. After listening to them, it’s apparent why all but one should remain unreleased.

As normal with the NC native, his vibrato is impeccably finely tuned in most of the tracks but it is sadly hard pressed to wring any real life out of the shoddy lyrics within three of the four songs. The exception of the quartet is undoubtedly “Do It All For You“, which is the only one that really epitomizes the soulful essence he can evoke/invoke when coupled with the right audio backdrop, cause whomever is playing what sounds to me like a Baldwin or a Kimball electric organ, surely spent many a Sunday in the choir loft honing their chops.

Plus you know you see Sister Bernice over there in her corner, shaking her good Tambourine and making it talk!

It’s a perfect match for the soulful quiver in Hamilton’s voice as he vocally drains the #lifeliquid from the very veins of his heart, while telling the love of his life that he’s ready, willing and more than able to change his whole life around, just to ensure they have everything they want and could possibly need. Ain’t love grand?
