Amy Winehouse – The Girl From Ipanema

Whoa! I’m sure when Jobim was crafting the sound that would later be named Bossa Nova he had no clue that one day his Gilberto assisted tune would be given a Hip Hop twist. That is what happened, however, when 18 yr old Amy sang this song for acclaimed producer Salaam Remi in 2002. Check out this collaboration and pick up Lioness Dec 5th. There are some really nice moments on this album
