Virginia’s Daron Jones turns Amel Larrieux’s breakout solo endeavor and soulful anthem to action into a jazzy, downtempo affair. Daron’s version is the polar opposite of the original, now contemplative instead of motivating, really hammering home the why behind the what. It may be difficult to digest initially with it’s stark difference, but it a great example of a well done, new version of her vision.
