It appears we should be looking North now for the good music. Canadian producer/writer Xolisa Jerome’s mellow debut track Until Then is an alluring introduction that compels a desire to hear more. “Inspired by A Tribe Called Quests’ Oh My God (Remix), Zero 7’s Destiny and Camp Lo’s Coolie High,” Untl Then isn’t a transparent tribute, but a thoughful amalgamtion that deserves a listen. In addition to just sounding lovely, Until Then delivers a poignant message: “We’re in the right here and right now- so until a moment in this time, space or state of mind proves otherwise, let’s just be.”
