For the past 4 years BamaLoveSoul has been Decreasing Your HardDrive Space with musical goodies. During this period of time we’ve made priceless connections with visitors, artists and labels too numerous to count. We love sharing the good, alternative music that is difficult to find in the mainstream and it feels good to know that we’re providing a service that’s enjoyed by many.
As the site becomes more popular, many of the costs associated with maintaining the site increase as well. As you may or may not know, we accept no money to run our little slice of music heaven so everything is funded by me. Unfortunately as these economic times crash down around our ears, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to finance this operation.
While thinking of a way to get perpetual funding, I thought of an initial goal I set for myself when I began BamaLoveSoul, to create a compilation of artists that everyone needs to know about and releasing it for mass consumption.
Where you come in:
KIckstarter is a website that allows others to help fund creative projects. I would like to ask you to donate whatever you can (HERE) to help us reach our goal so that we can create and distribute a limited run of vinyl and CDs to help fund BamaLoveSoul for perpetuity. We’ve already reached out to artists who are willing to donate songs for the album and all we need now is the backing of friends like you to help us release our compilation. The deadline is May 1st 2012 and we are offering incentives towards donations:

$10 – Digi Download of Diggs Duke’s Black Gold album and digi download of compilation (limit 20)
$15 – digi download and CD of the compilation (limit 200)

$50 – a FREE test pressing courtesy of United Record Pressing (the first fifty to donate $50)
$100 – Your music project promoted in the BamaLoveSoul newsletter
$400 – DJ Rahdu DJs your event/party (maximum of 4 hours and backer provides transportation and lodging)
