Right now, you’d be hard pressed to find another group of indies with this kind of work ethic. Mello Music Group keeps releasing quality music and Trek Life‘s “Wouldn’t Change Nothing” is no exception to ground work being laid.
Fresh on the heels of his Oddisee produced 2010 album “Everything Changed Nothing”, Trek has commissioned this remix project, with a witty tongue-in-cheek title, allowing a hodge-podge of known/unknown producers to remix the original.
Producer J Bizness takes the original track‘s staccato horns, double time thump and hi-hat in another direction, replacing them with more orchestrated synths, well-placed vocal samples and cuts from DJ Buddy, easily complimenting Trek‘s poignant lyrical ode to the West.
