I opened my Tru-Thughts newsletter, saw the name Roy Ayers and immediately jumped to this track! Let’s backtrack a little though, Ayers will appear on the new album by Menagerie or producer/songwriter Lance Ferguson who is more widely known as Lanu or The Bamboos. The album, They Shall Inherit, a spiritual jazz project, will be released early December and I’m hoping we have more of this vibe to look forward to!
