Mark de Clive-Lowe – Take The Space Trane LP (teaser)

Los Angeles based Mark de Clive-Lowe is about to drop “Take The Space Train” LP on February 4th.  He released this teaser today of 2 very jazzy pieces.  The album is actually a collaboration with the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra to rework some of MdCL’s into Jazz orchestral experiment birthed from an opportunity to perform as a guest with the RJO at an improv festival in Rotterdam.

The title track “Take the Space Trane” is obviously a nod to Improv masters; and Jazz and Big Band legends, John Coltrane and Duke Ellington.  de Clive-Lowe is no stranger to the dance music of the 1920’s and 30’s.  So here’s your opportunity to experience his infusion of the artistic flair and philosophy into his previous works as a few new compositions included on the LP.  Could this be the start of a millennial rebirth of  the Roaring 20’s (at least musically).  In the interim, enjoy a bit more jazz.  The title track as well as a lagniappe for your ears below.
