J*DaVeY – Quicksand feat. Def Sound [Video]

J*DaVeY‘s debut LP, “New Designer Drug” is approaching at what I hope is a rapid pace. All I’ve heard so far regarding the time frame is quickly summed up by the words “Coming” and “Soon“.

Until the magical date that we haven’t been given yet arrives, avid fans of the duo will have to curb those voracious appetites with their last couple of releases, Boudoir Synema: The Great Mistapes and the more recent Evil Christian Cop: The Great Mistapes, where the audio for this video is featured.

So far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Miss Jack Davey & Brook D’Leau‘s brand of progressively quirky Cali-Funk and their the ports produced and directed moving images for the second single “Quicksand“, don’t stray far from the groundwork they’ve been laying down since I first came across them back in 2007, performing a stunning revised version of ATCQ’s “Electric Relaxation” simply entitled “Relax“.

Lots of sand, camera lens warping heat shimmers, clear rain ponchos, tuxedos and Kwamé …err deƒ Sound‘s rhymes. How can you lose with all of that packed in one video?

Only thing that could top it for me would be the video for the first single from Evil Christian Cop, “Raincheck“.

Check the five liner below for more info and if you shamefully don’t have any J*DaVeY in your collection, make sure to click the link in the middle.
