As promised, the day has arrived and Jae Franklin‘s Universal Language: Prelude 3 is available for your listening enjoyment.
In a culture of monotony through sound in which major exposure trumps independent talent, few voices illicit reactions as consistent as they are strong. Jae Franklin, the voice behind “Think Twice” (Tensei/Plug Research) and “Superlover” (MC Adad) has such a voice. Her new project, Universal Language: Prelude 3, is the third installment of the Universal Language series which was penned throughout her travels from Africa to Asia. Filled with shades of joy and candor, the project subtly bends genres without sounding bended, building momentum for the sake of soul and R&B while adding elements of Latin jazz and electro-soul, combined with the stunning Jae Franklin sound that is always delivered; smooth, effervescent with an array of emotional tonality.

Six tracks deep, full of her seemingly effortless blend of electrosouljazz and tempered with lyrics that focus on love, pain, joy and social consciousness. Plus that TallBlackGuy remix has some serious heat on it. Enjoy!
