I must admit that I didn’t think Illa J was going to be around long after the release of his first full length Yancey Boys. He’s proven me wrong with his many cameos and features, and is also now slated to release an EP. Affair is the first release from 4 Past Midniteand for me it proves that he doesn’t need his brothers beats to shine. He’s done a great job of aligning himself with Motown royalty and Young RJ laces him with a spacey staccato beat that Illa J rides nicely on the rap and singing tip. Kudos to the younger Yancey boy and I cant wait to hear more
