Late Pass #30: Grenique – Breathe Me (Update)

Grenique linkde up with the legendary Kedar Massenburg, then president of Motown Records, who signed her to a record deal which brought us Black Butterfly (1999) and the song Disco on the Rush Hour Soundtrack. Quietly, in 2006, she released Breathe Me which I found on a fluke on her myspace page while trying to book her for an interview for my radio show. Since then, via her myspace page, it reads that she cowrote and sang background vocals on The Game’s Game’s Pain featuring Keyshia Cole. And still we wait for some newness from this sister…

UPDATE: Grenique reached out to me and shared the following:
“Well, I just got back in the flow wit this music. I co wrote and sang background on The Game featuring Keyshia Cole song “Game’s Pain”…I got a couple songs on Bone Crusher CD coming out. His first single is with TI so check it out ( Im not on that one but its hot though). I got a song on Gypsy Stokes(Konvict Artist) CD..I’m singing the hook on it..It’s called Go’n’buck..I got a new song I’m about to put out in in June called “Save You”.. Been doing some acting too”

So for all that have been diligently waiting, there’s something bright forthcoming on your horizon!
