Operation Hot Combs is the name of a segment that appeared on DJ Jamad’s highly successful Afromentals radio show on Sirius satellite radio. Before the show’s cancellation, DJ Rahdu was tapped to helm an Operation Hot Combs segment that featured Sa-Ra’s Shafiq Husayn which would coincide with the release of his album, Shafiq En A Free Ka. However, things fell apart and we were never able to match our schedules with Shafiq again to add his commentary to the episode. Nevertheless, here’s a curious mix which defies description by DJ Rahdu which contains songs that were handpicked by the Master Teacher, Shafiq himself. Enjoy
