3rd Eye Girl – “Octopus Heart” / “Menstrual Cycle” featuring Prince (Download)

Nothing says 4th of July Weekend like a new Prince release. In this case, it’s “Octopus Heart”/”Menstrual Cycle”, a double A-side from his current touring outfit, 3rd Eye Girl. “Octopus Heart” is a soaring, 10:32 blues rock exercise that features Prince on guitar and Fender Rhodes piano. “Menstrual Cycle” has the cadence of Herbie Hancock’s “Chamelon” with splashes of synths and lead guitar work.

Streaming from their newly-minted SoundCloud page, the two instrumentals are also available for download in high-resolution WAV format.
