Written and produced by The Beast, Rise Beyond the Sky incorporates Lauryn Hill’s Doo Wop, and is bound to have heads nodding for a long time. Rise Beyond the Sky’s jazzy hip hop feel takes me back to The Ummah, Digable years of hip hop, yet the tune is taken even higher by Yahzarah’s work on the chorus , which gives a sweetness to this uplifting track. I love this!
