A cool occurrence of serendipity has placed Detroit vocalist Ideeyah firmly on made my radar. I finally got my hands on Grace Jones’ autobiography and upon opening an Urban Organic email later that day I find this magnificent cover of her classic, controversial 1981 smash, Pull Up To My Bumper. I press play and am immersed in a super chill version that somehow possesses the same energy that made the original a club banger. Make sure you grab the D/L and look for Ideeyah’s album this Spring!
