Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo (Onra & Buddy Sativa) – Honey, Hash, Rose

What do you get when you cross well seasoned French producer Onra and Buddy Sativa. The Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo, a collaboration that must have been brought to life by the will of a higher power. Not much information is available on the duos collaboration or how they came to work together. The result is the 12-track self titled album that jazz fans should (and will) line up in droves to get their hands on. The album is filled with unbelievably great and vibrant sounds that caught me completely off guard. This album is new territory for both artists. Though both have a diverse catalogue, neither have ventured too far into the jazz realm. Imagine what the avant garde movement did for jazz music. This album does that for the avant garde movement. It is the avant garde of avant garde. It is hard to conceive that such an album could have been crafted by only two individuals. Only two individuals who doing what it took several jazz legends to do in groups such as The Jazz Messengers and Weather Report. Normally I would break down each track or at the very least my favorite tracks, but this album makes that difficult. Every single song is endearing, immersive, and ecstatic. I am absolutely eager to hear more from the pair and I will be one of the first to cop this one.

The album will be released on April 8 (UK) and April 9 (US) on All City Records.
