I’ve been following Ubiquity’s Rewind series since 2002. The musicians on the latest volume aren’t as diverse as before and contains tracks that wouldn’t be considered “classics” but it’s always delightful to hear the covers. Orgone’s cover breathes life into the George McCrae original by extended it and placing some Afro-Latin percussion around the 3:15 mark on the breakdown. This one will take you higher!
