Fellow south Londoner Lo.mo.ji delivers a five track EP which invites the listeners to engage their mind’s eye when entering the Padded Rooms. Lo.mo.ji’s sound is an experimental fusion of his musical influences, both old and new and this is apparent from the opening track. Formal Invite is a mellow intro where arpeggiated synths meet concert grand keys. Music enthusiasts will have second track, Fall In on repeat trying to work out the sample delicately placed in the far distance. Listeners will be able to draw comparison to Nicolay’s album, city lights (Shibuya) when nodding along to Eclectrick Boogie. The EP gathers momentum with City Bopp, which boarders on deep house. The name compliments the track’s tempo perfectly as you could easily find yourself shuffling through any busy metropolis with this playing in the headphones. Two short videos have been chosen to accompany the project. The Video for Fall In is outstanding with is animated choreographed dance routine. Key holder Lo.mo.ji has opened the door to the padded rooms will you enter?
