Dele Sosimi – Na My Turn

Afrobeat fire keeps burning in the heart of Dele Sosimi and it ignited all the corners of the world. The sound from Fela Kuti’s proclaimed Kalakuta Republic in the seventies was passed onto Dele when he played keyboard with Fela’s Egypt 80 from 1979 to 1986. As a musical heir Dele never stopped playing with the greatest names of afrobeat after Fela such as the sons Femi and Seun or the drummer Toni Allen. Today he delivers Na My Turn a track of his new album You No Fit Touch Am to be downloaded by all Yoruba beat fans. All the ingredients are there. A massive horn section, two guitarists playing the typical highlife like riffs, percussion, bass and drums underpinning with Yoruba beats. Kalakuta revolution against the political system is still in the words of Dele’s song. To be released 25th May, with a beautifully mastered sound, this album will be a reference of all afrobeat lovers of the 21st century.
