Astronote’s Astroblacked is the perfect melting pot of style. Hypnotic rare grooves blend into neck snapping Hip Hop before finally settling into chilled out Soul. Never abruptly though, all 21 tracks share a common thread, a certain something that ties the album together – maybe it’s the jazziness of it all. It’s not a Jazz album however! Even Ka Libre, featuring flautist Rasheeda Ali and some killer kalimba fails in classification. If his goal is to blow your mind, consider it done
