Aneesa Strings – Simpin’

When Aneesa looks at you with those sleepy eyes, plucking her bass and sings “It’s just me and you, me and you, me and you / forget bout the world,” it’s not a difficult thing to do. The last time I heard the word Sympin in a song, it was 1991 and Boyz II Men were unveiling their CooleyHighHarmony while begging for physical affection. 23 years later, Aneesa revisits the topic, propelled by the sound of her live band and convinces you that simpin is merely “falling in love”. A Paradigm Shift indeed.
