Saneyes is a producer from Paris, France who his known for his futuristic sounds and melodic tunes. He has worked on a few compilations called Static Movement that featured producers from USA such as Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemeble. Saneyes is also a skillful visual artist which can be felt in his colorful music. His newest project, Versions (remix), features three songs that he chose to remix by artists such as Pharaoh Monch, Jesse Boykins III, and Notorious B.I.G . Dec 20th is the date Common’s latest release, The Dreamer/The Believer will be in our grubby, little demanding hands. As a longtime fan, I must admit that I’m excited and at the same time afraid, as always, to see what this album will bring. Additionally, depending on how good/bad TDTB is, this album has the dubious distinction of  determining where me and Common’s “relationship” will go from this album forward.

In case you weren’t aware, Carolina soulman Anthony Hamilton is currently on tour in the effort to drum up some buzz for the December 13th release of his new “Back To Love” LP.

So early this AM, while I was trolling the interwebs for more news of said forthcoming album,  it occurred to me that this year alone Hamilton has had a decent amount of “unreleased” tracks miraculously materialize with the kind of spontaneous conception that we’ve come to expect in this file sharing age.

No clue as to whether these tracks were potentials for the LP that mysteriously found themselves on the digital cutting room floor or if they were simply never ment for the masses to gain access to until Ant and/or his label came to some agreement on what to do with them.

Well we found something to do with them. Think of this as a precursor to the actual album.

A couple of these tracks are sparse, simple ballads. A few are more of a mid-tempo toe-tap groove and one slow burner speaks of past hurt, pain and the forgiveness that sometimes comes when one asks a bruised heart to give you another chance.

But all the tracks here have one thing in common, they are undoubtedly driven by Anthony’s passionate and mellow tenor.

After many delays but lots of great music and several psycho-seductive videos to tide us over, Cubic Zirconia has released their first full length under their new home and imprint, Fool’s Gold.

It’s always cool to hear more from Havana! Havana released her sophomore album “Entervention“. To help carry the album further, she released her video for the single “DayLight“. The track is produced by GB (Gifted Blessed) and is very nice and subtle. Support indie and check it out!

My brother from another mother is back! The last release from Applejac was his rendition of Carlitta Durand‘s Doug & Patty EP. Well, now Applejac has his EP Playin’ Favorites that I’m sure will grab everyone’s ears…even the doubters, if there are any. The Playin’ Favorites EP is a collective of Applejac‘s favorite jams produced by himself and features some great artists such as Reggie B, Carmen Rodgers, and Rogiers. The great thing about this new release is that Applejac is releasing it as digital AND compact disc. If you’re anything like me, you’re going to want that physical copy to play in the car for nostalgic reasons. So, please support indie and pick up this release here. It’s FREE for God sakes!

I have never heard of Trumaine Lamar before in my LIFE, but from now on I will be checking for him. This is something I needed to get through the day and his smokey vocals just takes me away. This joint “Relax” uses the heavily sampled Ronnie Foster “Mystic Brew” which was also sampled by A Tribe Called Quest for “Electric Relaxation“. So you know you got to come with it when you messing with those two classic joints. Trumaine, I assume is from Florida, but you can get more information at his site and get the album at Bandcamp . I’m glad I was able to check out this new work from Detroit producer, D a.k.a Dose who has worked with a few people in the music game i.e. ( Velben, Fayth Hope, Baatin from SV, and Muhsinah). This  debut project, The Greatest Never , has been released on Sound Familiar Records and is currently available at iTunes. The first release was a track called “In the Open” which featured the haunting vocals of Muhsinah and some light emceeing from the late Baatin of Slum Village (R.I.P). The album also features tracks laced by Oliver DaySoul, Marvwon, Guilty Simpson, and Buff 1. This is a project you DEF wanna check out!

I remember the first time I heard this song…Chaka B (Tall Black Guy) manager tweeted about it. Their video for the single “Speed of Light” is so refreshing and exudes nothing but love. I really love this couple, Malice and Mario Sweet. Their sound is so smooth and simple. You can’t help but to know the words and remember the melodies of their songs. They have released their EP called Happy 2 Year. It features the likes of Choklate and Vitamin D as well as Tall Black Guy who is getting props from people such as Gilles Peterson.
