One of my favorite collections from this year would easily have to be Muhsinah’s Gone [2XEP].
Only six tracks long but without a doubt, it’s one of the most cohesive indie sets I’ve heard in a great while that STILL gets run in my audio player and that’s saying something, as I go through a lot of music in a matter of days.
That said, it’s always great when visuals arrive for projects like this and as much as I would have loved for a different song to get a video treatment, the stop motion innovation used for this one works wonders in changing my initial appraisal of song choice.
Direction and editing creds go to Jelani Memory while production is attributed to The Golden Girl‘s long time collaborator Mec Jagger.
Oh and if you still don’t have a copy of Gone, it’s still available at her site over HERE for the free.
Or if you like to actually #supportgoodmusic, Seenah is currently in the final hours before her Kickstarter campaign for the Deluxe Edition comes to a close. You can always contribute some ends and get a warm fuzzy knowing it will go towards more musical gems.
