I remember when DJ Jazzy Jeff’s BBE album promo for The Magnificent arrived in the mail like it was yesterday! I was amazed at the names that were included as features and a little confused as to why the dope SV joint didn’t appear on it…but that’s besides the point. The promo version of the album didn’t have liner notes, so I picked up the official album when it was released and noticed one glaring difference. Break It Down, which featured one of my favorite emcees J-Live, had a completely different beat which gave it a completely different feel. I’m gonna see if I can find out why, but in the meantime enjoy this unreleased alternate version
