Jesse Boykins III; man ,we’ve been following his work for some time now, years actually… check out the 2008 interview. He’s one of those “young cats” whose music has an old but refreshing soulful feel. His collaborations are always impressive as he builds with the best in the under-appreciated “underground” scene. I say under-appreciated to point out we’re not hearing them as much as we should; but then, i think the ones who are supposed to hear it do. To “art’s diminishing role in school programs throughout the world” he partnered with his homies and they created a Sartorial Sounds project. They have beAutifully crafted their own rendition of Andre 3000′s Take Off Your Cool that “incorporates their individual talents such as spoken word, rapping, singing and tap”, that will cause you to set the track on repeat.
