Soul music is a Philadelphia institution and so are Ayana and Ayinke Hipps also known as AAries. Although well known in Philly, they were first brought to my attention via listening to their many guest appearances on Musiq’s albums. They were supposed to release an album on Atlantic, Always Remember which never saw the light of day. Before being shelved, I received a promo CD for their album which included a dope remake of a Minnie Riperton classic. Enjoy!
