AHHH… to relive the Myspace days. That was the time when everyone indie was sounding so good and was producing some of the greatest music NEVER heard. From Muhsinah to J*Davey, everything was dope. Well, now that Myspace is BLAH these days, I finally got to hear some more musician friends from the myspace days who are really putting in work and sound as good as before. Daru Jones ( drummer) and Byron Blaylock (fender rhodes, quartet, micro korg) teamed together to produce this very jazzy, soulful joint called ” 1st Degree of Separation” which features Farnell Newton (trumpet) and Tony Ozier (bass and vocals). This song is on constant repeat and I can’t wait to own a copy. For Now, check out the youtube video provided by Farnell Newton.
